Now, I myself do not follow the "aspecting" power of POF, MC, etc (within the context of my explanation posted earlier in this thread), nor would our Traditionalist friends (nor, indeed, most of our Modernist friends) accept this however, some practitioners do accept this concept, and if it makes sense to you, then see how accurate these indications are-test it out, see if what is predicted (the + trend just described) actually comes to pass.Recently there’s been some confusion over our freshly released Trine 2: Complete Story for PC, Mac and Linux. If you accept this concept, then by all means go ahead and interpret: a trine from POF to itself in transit would mean a reinforcement of all conneced with the natal POF MC trine POF would be very fortunate for all that the MC means (advancement, higher goals, career/profession, gains, etc) That's because the program does not distinguish between planets, asc/MC, POF, etc treats them all the same relative to transiting I will mention that some Modernist astrologers DO accept the concept of POF and other Lots giving aspects, and use such in their delineations.
I also believe that the POF can GIVE influences (but only via progressed conjunction or Parallel)-same goes for all of the many Lots (Arabic Parts) also, albeit only within the symbolic realm, I do accept that the quality of the relationship between what the POF indicates and what the ascendant or the MC (or any cusp) means/indicate, can be determined by the relative geometric relationships between or among these horoscopic points: so a 120 degree relationship say between the POF and the MC would symbolize harmony between the POF and all that the MC symbolizes: therefore-in a way-this geometric relationship is an "aspect", but not as defined and understood in the sense we usually mean, ie, of casting a ray or sending an energy from a body (which is limited AS such to the planets, and also the stars to a more limited extent) However I do believe that cusps (ascendant, MC etc) can be influenced by Parallel or longitudinal conjunction with the POF further, at least when following the various non-astronomical methods of SYMBOLIC progressions (such as profection, simple symbolic, duodenary, etc etc) I mostly agree with the points made by JA, above(which are Traditionalist doctrines regarding the POF, MC, and Lots in general)
